Our take

The Zoom Vapor 16 Academy is a solid choice for artificial ground pitches. The racer blue color is vibrant, and the synthetic upper offers a close ball feel. The AG outsole grips well on turf, though I wish the studs were a bit longer for deeper grass. The fit is true to size (10.5) and the medium width accommodates my feet well. The Zoom cushioning is noticeable and adds comfort. However, the upper isn't as breathable as I'd like—my feet got sweaty during intense games. At $112, it's a good value for the performance, but if you play on natural grass, look for a different soleplate.
